I came to screen music through bands, writing rooms and years in the studio tracking, producing, mixing and finishing records. It means I approach every brief from both sides: protecting the filmmaker's vision while making music that moves with the edit, carries the emotion and feels inseparable from the picture.

Julia.

Julia is a short film directed by Ralph Hutchins. Its original score was shaped closely around the film’s pacing, atmosphere and emotional turns, giving each scene space while carrying the story forward. I worked from the performances and edit outward, using restraint, texture and carefully placed movement to support the film without ever overtaking it.
